John Kollar Slovak Literary and Library Society (Southside)
Saturday, Jan. 20th 2018

The John Kollar Slovak Literary and Library Society of Pittsburgh was formed on May 5th, 1912, by Slovak Immigrants who came to America so they could learn and write English, raise families and get jobs in Pittsburgh’s once-thriving mines, mills, and glass factories.

Today, both Charter and Social members and their offspring continue to reconnect with and strengthen their links to the past and gather in the same club as generations before us. Today, it’s affectionately known, as the Kollar Club.

On Saturday, Jan. 20th our kickoff event will take place at the Kollar Club from 6-9pm and will feature games, door prizes, music by Andrea Pearl and Ed Tarzia, Southside trivia, and much more. For those without a membership, it will be $15 at the door.
